Dvaita means Two. Advaita means there is no two. It is not ekam ( one). The moment you say one, you imply 2, 3 etc. So there is no one other than one Brahman - one supreme consciousness. This philosophy was propounded by Adi Shankaracharya. Same as physics. Quantum physics says, everything is vibration. There is no matter at all. So everything is made up of one source of vibration is Advaita. For a normal human being everything appears to be different. Like a gold bar is one, but there is ring, bracelet, necklace etc. But for a gynani, everything is one Brahman.
