  • The core of every religion is spirituality.

  • Religion has its own defined dogmas, customs and rituals.

  • Every religion defines it own ways of arriving at the truth. The truth is eventually spirituality. (But the ways of arriving at the truth can be contradictory)

  • Religion becomes diluted over time due to the followers of a leader defining their dogmas. While spirituality being practical, the same methods are preserved down the ages with very little modification.

  • Religion can be binding at times, but spirituality is about sharing.

  • Religion is like the skin of a fruit while spirituality is the actual fruit.

  • Skin is needed to some extent to preserve the fruit. But unfortunately these days, people just hang on to the skin and discard the actual fruit.
