The core of every religion is spirituality.
Religion has its own defined dogmas, customs and rituals.
Every religion defines it own ways of arriving at the truth. The truth is eventually spirituality. (But the ways of arriving at the truth can be contradictory)
Religion becomes diluted over time due to the followers of a leader defining their dogmas. While spirituality being practical, the same methods are preserved down the ages with very little modification.
Religion can be binding at times, but spirituality is about sharing.
Religion is like the skin of a fruit while spirituality is the actual fruit.
Skin is needed to some extent to preserve the fruit. But unfortunately these days, people just hang on to the skin and discard the actual fruit.
