By Chiranjeevi, I assume you mean immortals. One who has taken birth has to die one day. That is the law. However, when we die, what dies is just the body. Our mind with its impressions (called soul) will remain. Based on the vibration, the soul chooses another birth/ body. In case of enlightened ones, they have the freedom to choose their own birth as they are not bound by any karmic depth. There are stories when the enlightened ones who have left their body have again come back in physical form to their disciples vision. I am not entirely sure about that but that is a possibility. We have also heard of Guru who has been living in Himalayas for 400- 450 years now. There are many possibilities beyond our logical perception. There could be many immortals like that. There are different planes of existence (Yaksha loka, deva loka, Gandharva loka etc ) each exhibiting different vibrations. Just like a TV has many channels but for us we see only one vibration/Channel at a time, similarly there are many different beings at planes of existence and they might choose to appear to us. Nevertheless all living being in higher planes of existence bless us.
