Cities are locked down, we are not allowed to go out side. Since last 6 months ........

I already felt things are difficult, many sickness, bleeding and pain in the body, etc. I witness even I dont do anything, the misunderstanding just came like arrow one after another.

After met gurudev in our online meeting. I felt well and high energy. Meditate twice a day with Gurudev and now slowly listened to some knowledge online with group.

My questions are:

1. Besides meditation what mantra shall I chant..during this time?

Tryambhakam ?

Gayatri ?

Aum namah shivaya?


2. During this time what is the best to focus on doing

Sandyavandanam or agni hotra or Trambakham chanting?

Please advice




Answer:

You are doing the right thing meditating with Gurudev. Besidess Meditation , yes chanting definitely helps.

1. Om Namah Shivaya is a very potent mantra. I prefer long chanting with Gurudev’s voice. You can chant and slip into meditation. It brings harmony  among all the 5 elements.

2. If you are initiated into Gayatri, you can definitely do it. It clears the mind washes all the sins leaving your self pure. It sharpens your intellect and helps you in making right decision. Brings Ojas( vitality) in your personality. Sandyavandana is best during this time.

3. Tryambakam or Mruthunjyaja mantra is also potent - Chanted suing rudra abhisheka. You can chant this particularly if you are going through health issues.

All above mantras are very powerful and potent. I would prefer 1) in Gurudev’s voice. Meditation is far superior. The purpose of all the mantras is to transcend the mind and facilitate meditation. “Mananat tray ate it mantra”. 2) and 3 ) depends on your preference and time. But definitely do not miss 1) .
